Exposition "Laisses de mer"

Tide after tide, the ocean deposits its belts of brown or green seaweed, pearly shells and driftwood on the foreshore. It's the sea leash, a natural shelter for a living fauna.

Presentation of: Exposition "Laisses de mer"

The degradation of the environment by humans and the dumping of its waste is a constant preoccupation for Léa Kishida who, through her installations. Les Organelles shows us "how these toxic substances are digested and reborn within our beings and our bodies. Our lives are saturated with them". In Patrick Labarre's pieces, there is a trace of the ghosts of sailors who mistook jellyfish for mermaids. The seaweed poetry
of his works brings a sensation of the rare and precious. His friend Hervé Petit, the painter who dazzled us at the Maison des Frères last year, says it best.
There's something light and fragile about his sculptures, which are torn and carried by the breeze. The air seems to play in the bronze sails, and the void is filled with wind. The refinement of the patina gives the material its full meaning.
