EXPOSITION "L'ART INSTINCT"

A self-taught rural boy with a talent for art from an early age, Benoit Lièvre also has a passion for the cinema, where he has been a volunteer. He left school at the age of 16 to work in green spaces, and was later employed by a hatchery in an above-ground breeding farm. And that's where his career path came to an end.
Afflicted with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease at birth, which began and worsened at the age of 19, he was bedridden for several days...
His muscles atrophied, making his movements indecisive, and he sometimes had problems with his balance and breathing...
It was at this point that art took a new turn in his life. An admirer of Impressionists like Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Cézanne and many others, he began to paint still lifes and certain places in the region.
Later, he began to create works using recycled materials, most of them found in the back of his garage, known as Récup'Art.
But the craziest project was the creation of a board game entirely designed by himself: "La Guerre des Châtaignes" (The Chestnut War). Inspired by a real-life incident in a wood left to him by his parents, he filed a patent with the INPI (Institut National de la Propriété Industrielle).
