EXPOSITION "JARDIN TEXTILE, DU TABLEAU AU TISSU"

Au donjon de Bazoges-en-Pareds , exhibition :
"I have been a painter for many years, and I am particularly interested in botanical subjects.
Flowers, fruit and vegetables from the garden blossom on canvas, slate and wood, according to my inspiration.
Although oil and acrylic paint are my preferred mediums, it's not unusual for this studio practice to merge with my work as a textile designer, and I'd go so far as to say that it's happening more and more frequently.
Perhaps it would be interesting to present this path to the public, who are often unaware that there are designers behind the prints they wear.
I wanted to slip some textiles from these paintings into the midst of the paintings: peonies blooming on heavy canvas, colourful bee-eaters in the heart of velvet, marigolds dancing on poplin...
A scenography where cottons drip from watering cans, jerseys overflow from crates, flowery tea towels flutter on rope... amidst the canvases that served as the origin of their creation."

Open Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from 2pm to 6pm.
Open on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June from 10.30am to 1pm and from 2pm to 7pm.
