Presentation of: Exposition "Histoire, sport et citoyennete"
After centuries of eclipse, the Olympic Games were symbolically reborn in Athens, Greece, in 1896.
Today, the Olympic movement has established itself as the world's leading event and returns to Paris for the thirtieth edition of the Olympic Games, a century after the 2024 edition.
The various editions of these Olympiads have travelled the world, bringing together athletes, men and women, who have achieved real feats and written an exceptional page in the history of surpassing oneself.
This exhibition tells the story of 30 Olympic Games and 15 Paralympic Games, highlighting the extraordinary stories of sportsmen and women who have left their mark on contemporary history.
Exhibition produced by Casden. Free admission during library opening hours.
