AOC Coteaux du Layon and Anjou organic winegrower.
The estate, which has belonged to the Chauvin family since 1859, has been farmed organically since 2005 and was awarded AB certification in 2018. All 8 hectares of Domaine Pierre Chauvin are located in the commune of Rablay sur Layon.The main Anjou grape varieties are grown on the estate. Chenin predominates (6 ha). It produces all the white wines, both dry and sweet, as well as the sparkling wines. For the reds and rosés, Cabernet Franc (1.2 ha) and, to a lesser extent, Grolleau (0.5 ha) and Cabernet Sauvignon (0.3 ha) are grown.
The estate is open from Monday to Saturday by appointment. The winemaker welcomes you to the estate for tastings and retail sales.
Groups of between 5 and 20 people can visit a vineyard plot and the winery by appointment, followed by a guided tasting session (€5/person).
