Château du Fresne was created in 1982 by the association of two wine-growing families from Faye d'Anjou: the Robin family and the Bretault family.Independent winegrowers and craftsmen, Yannis BRETAULT, David MAUGIN & Olivier BRETAULT form the third generation at the head of Château du Fresne. They are committed to preserving the know-how and heritage of the estate.
To the west of the Loire Valley, in the heart of Anjou, the family business and its vineyards stretch over almost eighty hectares.
Château du Fresne grows eight grape varieties, the main ones being the emblematic varieties of Anjou: Chenin, Cabernet Franc & Cabernet Sauvignon.
With 8 AOCs, 2 IGPs and 17 Cuvées, the estate offers a varied range of wines (and 2 grape juices!) to suit all palates.
What you need to know -
Events: 4 Open Days a year, as well as other events.
Group visits: coaches, works councils, associations... we offer "visit & lunch" packages at the winery.
