Louise and Philippe BILHOU grow saffron in Gesvres. On request, they are happy to open their farm to visitors. Here you'll meet two people who are passionate about a rare, high-quality product!
Saffron has many virtues: it's an antioxidant, it relaxes, it stimulates digestion, it's rich in iron and magnesium and a source of vitamin B6...... and much more besides. In the kitchen, as long as you know how to prepare it, this spice makes dishes sublime! Louise and Philippe will also be able to advise you on this subject... as well as showing you the regular work that this little plant requires of them,planting, weeding, harvesting the flowers, pruning and drying the stigmas. Louise and Philippe BILHOU are both passionate about quality. Their bulbs come from the Quercy region, and they have selected them from recognised professionals who, like them, grow saffron organically. Come and meet them all year round and discover the saffron farm.
Organic saffron and saffron products, saffron syrup, blackcurrant, raspberry and cramaillotte jellies, fleur de sel and coarse salt with saffron and organic apple juice are sold on the farm.
