Welcome to the Fromagerie du Tertre in Fougeré
As a goat farmer and cheesemaker in Fougeré in the Maine-et-Loire since 1972, we have a reputation for making the same cheese we did 45 years ago. These days, to make sure we don't run out of milk and therefore cheese in winter, we buy all our milk because it's difficult to make everything. To guarantee a quality cheese, we only use fresh milk from 3 producers in the Deux-Sèvres region. Our artisan know-how is our trademark, which is why we guarantee you :- Cheeses made from fresh milk (not frozen) - Slow lactic curdling - Direct moulding, using a ladle or block mould (no pre-draining) - Our experience. All this to bring you a quality cheese at a fair price! Direct sales at the cheese dairy only on Friday mornings from 10am to 12pm or by appointment.
