Discover the asinerie de la Rivière in Grez-Neuville on the banks of the Mayenne, where donkeys are bred and cosmetics made from donkey milk are produced.

The Asinerie de la Rivière farm in Grez-Neuville, on the banks of the Mayenne towpath. Lydie and Stéphane Fillodeau offer visitors demonstrations of donkey milking and display their cosmetics, jewellery and felted items in their farm shop. Free tours are available every Tuesday in July and August, starting at 4pm, to find out how the Baudet du Poitou is bred, how it is milked and the cosmetics made from donkey's milk.
