The Voie Verte Maine Saosnois is a 12.3km stretch of former railway line between Mamers and Les Mées, which can be explored on foot or by bike.The track starts in Mamers and passes through the villages of Saint Longis, Vezot, Saint Rémy-du-Val and Les Mées.
A 6 km extension has recently been added to reach Chérancé.
There are a number of access points along the route, with car parks, picnic tables, benches and loop starts.
Pets must be kept on a lead.
A little extra: there are two trails to enhance your walk: a botanical trail (between Mamers and Saint Longis) and a poetic trail (around Vezot).
