SENTIER DE LA SÈVRE NANTAISE - LES EPESSES

A trail along part of the Sèvre Nantaise. This very natural route will introduce you to an unusual heritage and extraordinary landscapes. You'll love the diversity of the paths and the wide variety of landscapes on offer.

The Sentier de la Sèvre Nantaise (signposted no. 2) is a pleasant way to discover the rolling green countryside of the Haut-Bocage vendéen. As you walk along the Sèvre, you'll enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the murmuring water, shady trees and birdsong. The route alternates between wooded paths, hedged meadows and views of the river and its banks.

The route also reveals some of the region's treasures. Nearby, the Puy du Fou© bears witness to the region's rich history and culture through its grandiose shows. Further afield, the charming village of Mallievre, listed as a Petite Cité de Caractère, is well worth a visit. This former weaving town will charm you with its cobbled streets, old houses and remnants of ramparts that bear witness to a rich medieval past. Finally, the Aujardière pond is an exceptional natural environment.

The Sentier de la Sèvre Nantaise is a peaceful walk through nature and preserved heritage, ideal for soaking up the authentic charm of the Vendée countryside.
