Between Clisson and Tiffauges, discover the historic village of Torfou on this walking tour.

Let yourself be guided on this walk, which is sure to introduce you to the rural landscapes of Anjou. Follow the small wooded paths to discover the ponds and meadows, home to a variety of cows.

This charming walk will take you to the historic site of the Pierre Tournisse, where the show "La Bataille de Torfou" (The Battle of Torfou), which recounts the history of the Vendée Wars, is performed every 2 years in July. This impressive stone overlooking the site is sure to amaze you!

Along the way, don't miss out on discovering the heritage that bears witness to Torfou's past. Right at the start of the route, in a nearby street, you'll see traces of a religious past that is still very much alive, with the church of Saint-Martin, the Community of the Religious of Sainte-Marie and the chapel of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes.
At the end of your tour, you'll discover the village's industrial heritage, notably through the former Ferblanterie canning factory.

This short walk is ideal for nature lovers and the curious, combining animals and historic sites!

* The Pierre Tournisse picnic area is equipped with a water point and toilet facilities.
* Toilets and a mini-market are available at the starting point, next to the pharmacy.
* Dogs are allowed on a lead (animals present).
* This route is not suitable for bicycles.
