Randonnée "Foulques Nerra"

Take a walk along the Foulques Nerra trail, and discover the vestiges of Montfaucon-Montigné's medieval past: the motte féodale and its superb view over the village, Saint-Jacques Church and its park, home to a proud remarkable tree, and the Chapelle de la Miséricorde. Take a stroll through the narrow, peaceful streets of this village steeped in the history of the Middle Ages.

Other discoveries await you, a succession of historic sites: the Fountain of Rusty Water, the Robat Mill, the Chapel of Bon secours and the private Château Doré les Tours dot the trail.

And above all, a wide variety of breathtaking scenery awaits you. Travel through an enchanting forest, a magnificent clearing, charming village sections and fields lost in the middle of nature.

Good to know :
* The paths are uneven and stony, so bring good shoes.
* In summer, don't forget sun cream, a hat and a water bottle.
* Don't forget to pack your picnic: there are two picnic areas along the route, the one at Prée Saint-Maurice is next to a mini-market.
* There are benches all along the route so you can take a break at any time.
* Two toilets are available: one near the park behind Saint-Jacques church, the other in the car park between the Prée Saint-Maurice picnic area and the "Au p'tit coût" restaurant.
* Dogs are allowed on the route
* Not all paths are suitable for bicycles
