LA VALLEE DU FALLERON

THE FALLERON VALLEY

A serene walk awaits you on this route, dotted with typical villages such as La Brosse, La Grivière and L'Épronnière. Winding through the hedged farmland, this route will take you to a fine viewpoint over the market town of Saint-Étienne de Mer Morte. The path will take you across the small stream of La Blanchardière and a ford will take you over the Falleron.

Follow the guide!
1. When you leave the car park at the leisure area, turn right towards the village of Le Plessis along the road.
2. Turn right out of Le Plessis and follow the road for 1.5km until you come to a road.
3. Turn right, go through the village of La Grivière and drive for about 500m.
4. Turn right and walk for 400 metres.
5. Then turn left towards the village of L'Épronnière.
6. At the exit, take the lane on the right as far as the village of La Brosse. Be careful, you are now on the Route Départementale 72.
7. Turn left and drive carefully for 100m, then turn right through the village of La Brosse.
8. Turn right and you will be on a tarmac road for 300 metres, then you will come to a track which you will have to follow for 800 metres.
9. Cross the bridge on your right and follow the path on your right, through the woods, along the Falleron.
10. Once you have reached the filter reed bed, turn left into the field to pick up the path and go down Rue du Coteau.
11. Cross the Rue de la Tour to take the "Pas d'Âne" (donkey track), which is extended by a path.
12. At the mill, take the dike on your left to get back to your starting point.
