Sillé-le-Guillaume, a Petite Cité de Caractère® located 35 km north-west of Le Mans, is a former stronghold of the Haut-Maine region on the borders of Normandy and Brittany.
It grew up around its castle and collegiate church. It became famous in the 20th century for its "Coco Plage" leisure and swimming centre. This walk will take you through the Sillé national forest and its lakes. Extend your walk with a visit to the village and its castle.
