La Côte Sauvage

Following in the footsteps of 19th-century sea-bathing enthusiasts, take a deep breath of invigorating iodine.

Follow in the footsteps of 19th-century sea-bathing enthusiasts and enjoy a breath of fresh, invigorating air.
Both urban and coastal, this tour offers a remarkable panorama of the Bay of La Baule and the ocean from the Grande côte.
Walk along the quays and promenade, laid out in 1808, before continuing along the coastal path.
Along the way, take a look at the villas.
With their architecture totally different from the local style, they still bear witness to the beginnings of seaside tourism in Le Pouliguen.

PLEASE NOTE:
This route takes in parts of the coastal path, also known as the Sentier des Douaniers, or GR®34. This path is exclusively for pedestrians: bicycles are not permitted.
