La bête d'Angles

Departure point: tourist office (place du champ de foire) Follow in the footsteps of the "Malbête" and discover the town's rich heritage!

The walk begins with a visit to the church of Notre-Dame-des-Anges, a listed monument with a remarkable Planagenet style. On its pediment sits the "Malbête", a quiet-looking figure with a potentially fatal gaze!

The route continues through the calm waters of the Marais Poitevin and along the Troussepoil and Bourasses canals, where irises and dragonflies flourish.

The route then takes you to Moricq to discover the remains of Angles' maritime past: the defensive tower of Moricq and the octroi pavilion.
