ENTRE TERRE ET RIVIERE
The aim of this trail is to reclaim the natural heritage of the Erdre, a listed site because of its great ecological and landscape value.
Presentation of: ENTRE TERRE ET RIVIERE
The trail from Port-Jean passes through the red vineyards from which Muscadet and Gros Plan are produced, wines that are typically regional. The route takes you as far as the Erdre, a river that François 1st described as "the most beautiful in France". This is an opportunity to observe the wealth of flora and fauna along the river.
You will then need to cross the RD37. Please take great care when crossing this busy road.
You will then join some beautiful country lanes, often shaded, which will lead you to the Vallon du Charbonneau, then to the banks of the Etang Hervé marshland stream. On your way around the Renaudières site, don't forget to stop off at the Museum to see the "Living Erdre" exhibition.
