Looking for a breath of fresh air and a nature break? The Huchepie circuit, accessible on foot or by bike, invites you to discover Pornic's hidden charms. Let us guide you through lush green landscapes, peaceful lakes and authentic villages, to discover the heritage of the Pays de Retz.

An enchanting route for all levels:


Start your adventure at the Centre Equestre d'Huchepie, and set off to conquer the shady paths that will take you to the heart of Pornic's verdant hinterland. Imagine yourself in the shade of the trees, with birdsong playing in the background.
Walk along the Etang du Gros Caillou, a haven of peace for fishermen. Admire the beauty of this stretch of water and enjoy the peace and quiet. Take time to observe the wild ducks that bask here and the dragonflies that flutter above the surface of the water.
Cross one of the arms of the pond, noting the centuries-old oak trees that line your path.
Discover the Croix Gâte, a fascinating remnant of a medieval leper colony that bears witness to the region's rich past ⛪️. Let yourself be transported by the mystical atmosphere that emanates from this place steeped in history.
Continue your walk towards the Ferme Brisset, a typical Pays de Retz farm, and imagine what rural life was like in days gone by. Perhaps you'll meet the farm animals and savour the authenticity of this place, especially if you want to make a gourmet stop and sample some local produce.
Take the Haut Chemin and wind your way through charming undergrowth paths, enjoying the freshness of the forest. Let the birdsong and rustling leaves lull you to sleep.


The Huchepie circuit promises you a moment of relaxation and escape in the heart of nature.

The Huchepie route is a short to medium cycle route, with a few slightly technical sections, suitable for families (except very young children), and can be done with a mountain bike or VTC.
