Rock in Gneiss micachiste quartzite on a western exposure.
Meteorology:
In winter, it's best to climb in the afternoon when the rock is dry. In summer, it's best to climb in the morning or evening when the rock is in the shade.
Equipment in place:
Brouet-Badré pins (cosiroc) - Hilti C100 and Sikadur 31 glues.
All the routes have 2 pins at the belays. The initiation sector, bottom right, is equipped with pins connected by a chain to the relays.
Special features:
An ascending pitch covers most of the cliff. The lower routes are equipped with belays at the level of the ledge. The upper routes end at the top of the cliff. Moving around on the ledge requires vigilance, particularly in the upper section.
A guide to the crag is available on the Pierre Blanche Escalade website.
Recommended equipment:
70m rope and 12 to 14 quickdraws for the long routes.
Access to the bottom of the cliff is reserved for climbers only. Walkers and "spectators" must stay behind the railing of the belvedere at the top of the cliff.
(During the year, the wall may be inaccessible due to maintenance work).
