Meet the sculptures along the Loire à Vélo cycle route

In Mauges-sur-Loire, between Angers and Nantes, the La Loire à Vélo des Sculptures route has a few surprises in store for you... As you cycle along the river, you'll come face to face with a host of animal species and other varied shapes forming an open-air gallery.

Around forty monumental sculptures (and a few painted frescoes) accompany your ride over a distance of around 17km, inviting you to enjoy moments of contemplation that appeal to your imagination and your interpretation.

These sculptures, part of the annual Montjean-sur-Loire monumental sculpture symposium (which has been running for over 25 years!), are created before the eyes of passers-by on the banks of the river and then exhibited in the public space.
