CIRCUIT VTT N°4 - ROUGE - DÉPART DE MAMERS
This route takes you to the Perseigne forest via Aillières-Beauvoir and back to Mamers via Villaines-la-Carelle.
In the Perseigne forest, you can follow the GR signposts or join the other mountain bike trails in the forest, signposted from N°6 to N°10.This route is much longer, and is particularly suitable for sports enthusiasts.
On the way :
- Panorama after the "Haut Bois" farmhouse
- View of the Château d'Aillières-Beauvoir
- The Belvedere, the highest point in the Sarthe at 346 metres, offers a unique panoramic view of the Perseigne forest.
- Villaines-la-Carelle: a village built on a labyrinth of underground galleries, some of which once housed a mushroom farm.
After the hedged farmland and forest, the landscape changes completely as you cross the Saint Longis plain.
