The ascent to the start of the route offers a fine reward: the proud Moulin de la Montagne emerging from a sea of vines. After passing through the famous village of Bonnezeaux, there is a lovely view of the neighbouring church towers before returning to the shady old railway line.Route no. 5 can be linked to route no. 61, 1.5 km, signposted in red (see general route map).
