SENTIER RENE GUY CADOU
An itinerary full of the sweet scent of poetry in this "blue countryside". You'll discover the village of Louisfert, where René-Guy Cadou, the great poet, loved to live...
Louisfert dates back to medieval times. The official record of its existence is a caritular from the abbey of St-Florent de Saumur dating from 1150. The village owes its name to the rich iron in the soil, which was mined in some places in the open air. Its inhabitants are called Locferians, and its coat of arms bears the motto "ferrus si locus aureum cor" (if the place is iron, the heart is gold).Contact
