DENÉE - 31 - LES JUBEAUX

The vineyards of Angers, a great place to hike

Discover Denée, which has been awarded the "Petite Cité de Caractère" label. Set off on a lovely walk between meadows and rivers, where sumptuous landscapes await you. You'll start by crossing the bridge over the Aubance along the road, then take a small path on your left that leads you to the edge of the fields. You'll then follow the Louet and its wide sandy beaches, before crossing the "Pont du Port-qui-tremble" to admire the panorama of this branch of the Loire. You will then come to the hamlet of Les Jubeaux, where you can discover its outdoor boules area. Continue along the narrow lanes between meadows and fields of wheat... You'll then come to the banks of the Loire, where you can admire the view over this wild and relaxing landscape, with the hillsides as a backdrop. A real picture-postcard landscape awaits you: sea-blue water glistening in the sunlight and sandbanks resembling small islands. The ideal place for a well-deserved break by the water (note: swimming is prohibited in the Loire), where you can easily make your way through the avenues of trees. Continue along the banks of the Royal River and then wander off along the narrow country lanes. You'll enjoy a clear view of Saint Jean de la Croix in the distance. On your way back, you will once again follow the banks of the Louet before returning to your starting/finishing point.
Please note: on one section, there is a small, very narrow 4 m footbridge that can be bypassed by the road.
