Where to go canoeing?
Starting out from Juigné-sur-Loire, you'll have plenty of time to explore the Sarthe valley, including a magnificent view of Solesmes Abbey. Kayak tours are available for children aged 6 and over, for one-hour family outings. The more adventurous can even consider full-day or two-day outings along the Sarthe valley, under the expert guidance of "Vogue et Vague" professionals.
From age 7 upwards, ½-day or even full-day courses await you in Château-Gontier, along the Mayenne river. Two activities are on the menu, including canoeing to discover the Mayenne, made navigable and safe by numerous locks. In the Loire-Atlantique region, Port-Saint-Père is a stone's throw from the Lac de Grand-Lieu nature reserve. From the age of 6 and lasting 2 hours, take the whole family on a self-guided tour of the island on the Acheneau River. How does a canoe trip work?
When you embark, the Vogue et Vague guides will provide you with canoes and paddles, life jackets, a waterproof canister, and even a map of the river for the more adventurous on longer trips.
And don't forget a change of clothes, closed-toe shoes, sun cream, hat and water.
A boat and water safety briefing will be organized at the start of the activity, so that you can sail safely under the expert guidance of our "Vogue et Vague" instructors.
