HÔTEL LES BAIGNEURS

Not really a hotel, not really a youth hostel, not really a guesthouse. But a mixture of all these around a calm and welcoming patio. Just 50 m from the Grande Plage in Saint Gilles Croix de Vie.

The establishment is atypical; it's a former boarding house with all its architectural advantages and constraints. We had to think long and hard to find our place in the French hotel classification system...
We are not a youth hostel, our rooms are private and all have en-suite bathrooms.

We are not a guesthouse or hostel, we only offer breakfast to individual customers. These establishments are often run by chefs.

We are not a gîte where the rooms are equipped with a kitchen.

Are we a hotel? The Petit Larousse gives this definition: "A commercial establishment that offers furnished rooms to a travelling clientele for a daily fee". Yes, according to this definition.

Are we a hotel according to the current classifications, which are governed by the masterly hand of Atout France? No, because we don't fit into these standard categories.

We have no television in the rooms, no telephone, no private parking, no air conditioning, no hairdryer, no lift, no room service, no king-size bed, rooms of varying sizes that require us to arrange the beds (and some bunk beds) and 'cubicle' bathrooms with push-button showers.

We have simple, clean rooms with good bedding in a pleasant setting, just a stone's throw from the ocean.
We have a common room equipped with fridge, microwave and kettle.
We have a bicycle garage which is closed at night, a small bar which is open at the end of the day, free wifi access... and above all we want to welcome you as much as possible in this environment.

So don't make any mistakes when you book, look at our description and photos and make your choice based on these criteria!

Practical information :
- Numerous facilities for cyclists: secure bike parking, small repair equipment, loan of anti-theft devices, bike pump, etc.
- Communal patio with tables and chairs / Bar / Cosy library lounge with board games and piano / Community room open 24 hours a day.
