DOMAINE DE LA GIRARDIERE

The three houses have a total surface area of 340 m2. They are furnished and decorated in keeping with their period character. The volumes, surfaces and luminosity of the rooms are very pleasant.

- Le Logis des Ponnes (180 m2) sleeps 8. It has 3 bedrooms (2 with 1 double bed and 1 with 4 single beds), 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs.
-Le Logis de l'Ecuyer (120 m2) sleeps 8. It has 4 bedrooms (1 with a 160cm bed, 1 with a 140cm bed and 2 with 2 90cm beds), 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs.
- L'Orangerie (40 m2) sleeps 4. It has 1 bedroom (1 double bed) and a mezzanine (1 double sofa bed), 1 bathroom and 1 WC.

Le Logis des Ponnes has a large dining room and a large kitchen. In summer, its garden furniture can also accommodate the whole group.

The houses are very well equipped. If you feel like cooking, all the necessary equipment is at your disposal.
A "kitchen stock" (salt, pepper, spices, oil, vinegar, sugar, tea, coffee, chocolate, herbal teas) will give you a pleasant start to your stay.
A raclette machine, a crêpière and a pierrade are also available.
When you arrive, your beds will be made up and you will be provided with shower towels, hand towels, bath mats and kitchen towels.
Beach towels for the pool are not provided: remember to pack them in your suitcases!
Outside, you'll find garden tables and chairs, a charcoal barbecue and barbecue chairs.

When you leave, the three houses must be left as you found them on your arrival. The crockery must also be clean and tidy. However, you don't have to clean up before you leave: end-of-stay cleaning is included in our prices.

In cold weather, the houses are heated by a closed fireplace, two stoves and a chimney, supplemented by electric radiators. Firewood is provided. We ask our travellers to commit to an eco-responsible attitude when booking.

The washing machine is located in a separate room close to the houses.

A large shared heated swimming pool measuring 13.5 m x 5 m is available from April to October (it is not in use the rest of the year). It's great fun to swim from April onwards, and also in the off-season, as the large shelter keeps the heat in perfectly. When the sun shines, the pool is completely uncovered and you can swim in a beautiful green setting.

Access to the entire Domaine de La Girardière is free (park, woods, meadows). Apart from ourselves, who live in the château, there are no other residents in the hamlet. The houses are completely independent and not semi-detached: they are spread throughout the hamlet and each has its own private, unfenced garden. The roads are more than 500 m away, and the peace and quiet is absolute. It is not unusual to see roe deer, squirrels, hedgehogs, owls and many other birds, depending on the season.
The park is planted with redwoods, blue cedars, Himalayan weeping pines, silver lime trees, purple beeches, magnolias, walnut trees, chestnut trees, yews, etc. The wood is planted with oak, hornbeam, beech, chestnut and hazel trees. There are plenty of paths to wander along.

The night sky is absolutely magnificent. The property is very close to the observatory of the Centre Astronomique de Vendée, which is located here because of the absence of light pollution and the mild temperatures throughout the year.

The banks of the River Yon are directly accessible on foot from the hamlet of La Girardière: they offer a pleasant walk in all seasons, and in summer you can cool off in the shade of the trees, with your feet in the water of the river. Fishing is also possible.
Many other cycling and walking routes are also available.
Tennis court, children's playground and basketball court in the village of Le Tablier (2 km away).
Nearby: horse-drawn carriage rides and donkey rides.

Your pets, dogs and cats are welcome: they will find all the space they need to be happy.
