La Maison de l'Artiste
Just 30 minutes from Le Mans, this renovated former bakery is a harmonious blend of the old and the new, offering 68 m2 of cosy living space. Embellished with works of art by the owner and warmly decorated, the gîte is an invitation to travel.
The gîte is close to the owners' house but not overlooked.
On the ground floor there is a kitchen and dining area, a lounge and a shower room. Upstairs is a bedroom with a 140cm bed and a small toilet area, where the remains of the old beams remain. The bedding is of very high quality.
The living room on the ground floor has a sofa bed that can accommodate an adult or 2 young children.
Outside, a terrace overlooking a large green park welcomes you for a quiet, sunny breakfast. A plancha grill is available.
At the heart of the park is a pond where a few green-necked ducks are happily playing, but not recommended for young children.
The gîte is accessed via a large secure gate giving access to a courtyard that can accommodate several vehicles.
There is a supermarket 5 km away. The entrance to the A28 motorway is 3.4 km away.
Meals can be prepared on request - we are good cooks! - Prices depend on the menu chosen.
Within a 25 km radius, there are a number of tourist attractions:
Towards Le Mans: the Plantagenet city, Saint Julien cathedral, the Abbey of Epau, the 24-hour race circuit.
Towards the Alpes Mancelles: the sinuosities of the river Sarthe, Fresnay sur Sarthe, Saint Léonard des bois and the small town of character Saint Céneri le Gérei.
Towards the Perche: Mortagne au Perche, Béllême, the small village of character La Perrière.
Heated, covered swimming pool from 15 May to 15 September. Access to sauna located in the swimming pool building.
