This gîte is an old forge that has been renovated and converted into a single-storey house with 2 enclosed, landscaped gardens: rose bushes, camelia, hornbeam hedge.... The garage is perfect for storing your bikes or motorbikes.
The gîte is ideal for singles or couples, and is just 200m from the shops and numerous places to visit: Mayenne and its castle museum on the theme of medieval games (10 mins), the Renaudies garden (20 mins) or the Perrine garden.
The hiking trails will take you through the hedged farmland and the Colmont valley, a natural area with a high quality of flora and fauna, and a wild 1st category river that is great for trout fishing.
The gîte comprises a 32m² living room with a wood-burning stove and TV, a well-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms of 9 and 10m², each with 1 double bed (140x190) and a storage cupboard. A shower room with shower tray and separate toilet. Wifi internet access.
Trout fishing on the Colmont river 500m from the gîte. Leisure centre with water sports and swimming at Ambrières les Vallées (7km).
As for remarkable villages and monuments, don't miss the town of Sainte-Suzanne, with its narrow shopping streets, château and museum, Lassay-les-Châteaux and the Gallo-Roman town of Jublains.
Unusual outing: cycle track at Saint Loup du Gast.
