Gîte Le Chabeau

Marie-Jo and Yves TREMBLAY welcome you to their restored old house for 3 people, situated in the Baugeoise countryside.

The Chabeau gîte welcomes you to the Baugeois region: a peaceful, authentic setting on the outskirts of Angers and Saumur, 20 km from La Flèche Zoo, 20 minutes from the banks of the Loire and 45 minutes from Touraine.

This former farmhouse has been restored to its original splendour (tuffeau, beams, terracotta tiles) and is located near the owner's manor house. It offers a very pleasant country setting, with hiking trails, a greenway, forests, horse-riding centres, golf courses, fishing and swimming spots, streams... not forgetting the Loire!

Ideally situated between Saumur and Angers, a stay in this gîte will be an opportunity to enjoy the thousand-year-old town of Baugé: the Château du Roi René with its show trail, the Hôtel-Dieu and its 17th-century apothecary's shop, the dramatised tours offered in these places, and the rich architectural heritage of the town centre. The small surrounding villages are particularly typical, with their Romanesque churches and sometimes twisted bell towers.

On the ground floor of the gîte, you will find :
- an old-fashioned living room with a large period fireplace and its bread oven, a wood-burning stove (1st flambé free of charge), a lounge area with 3 sofas (one of which converts into a bed for 2 people), a dining area and a fully-equipped open-plan kitchen,
- a shower room (accessible by two steps) with shower cubicle and separate WC.

Upstairs, you'll find :
- a sleeping area comprising a bedroom with a double bed (140 cm x 190 cm) and an alcove with a single bed (90 cm x 190 cm),
- a bathroom area (open onto the bedroom) also located in this room, with a claw-foot bath, vanity unit and WC,
- an attic room with an extra bed that can be used as an extra bed.

Outside, there is a private courtyard with garden furniture, parasol, sun loungers and barbecue, and a 20m² room with washing machine + clothes line, freezer with drawers, table tennis table and outdoor equipment. Private parking on site in the courtyard enclosed by an electric gate.
The gîte has DTT TV and WIFI PLC internet access.
Additional charge: oil-fired heating (€60/week; pro rata for two nights or more).
