Arriving via a small alleyway, you will enter the gîte via a charming exterior of over 200 m², surrounded by troglodyte cellars typical of the Douessine region. Several terraced levels make this a landscaped area where you can relax to your heart's content, weather permitting, on the lawn or on the covered terrace.
The owners have restored this exceptional heritage site, which is full of surprises, for the pleasure of our guests' eyes! These cellars, dug into the Grison rock, are ideal for keeping cool on hot days... and even for barbecuing!
The owners will be delighted to give you access to the various troglodyte cellars surrounding the walled garden and tell you all about the history of the place with passion. Nearby attractions include the Doué-la-Fontaine Biopark, the Mystery of the Faluns, the Layon vineyards, the towns of Saumur and Angers, and the banks of the Loire...
