Gîte de la Mélinière

Charming gîte in the heart of the countryside in Saint-Georges-des-Gardes

La Mélinière is a small village of 15 inhabitants (5 'feux' as we say in our region): It is home to two dairy farms.

The owners, Stéphane, Valérie and their 3 children live in the adjoining house.
We can accommodate 6 people for private bookings and 3 people for business bookings.

Your gîte is independent and not overlooked. You have at your disposal :
- a living-dining room
- a fully-equipped kitchen,
- 3 bedrooms with double beds (140 x 190 cm),
- a shower room.

Need to work from home while on holiday in Anjou? This is possible thanks to a high-speed internet connection (Bouygues). You will be provided with a desk, an armchair, a desk lamp, an extension lead, a multiple socket and an RJ45 cable. A window is located near the workspace.

If you feel like it, you can try to tame our pony, Choupette, and the family's 3 little 'Ouessant' sheep. The children will be delighted to accompany you (subject to their availability, of course).

You will be 3 km from the highest point in Maine et Loire (St Georges des Gardes, les Gardes with its monastery, restaurant, orientation table and playground), 20 minutes from the Coteaux du Layon and Loire vineyards, 30 minutes from Terra-Botanica in Angers and 45 minutes from the Puy du Fou.

The Gîte de la Mélinière is close to the towns of Chemillé En Anjou (capital of medicinal plants, with its theatre, the beautiful Camifolia botanical garden and its various activities, its municipal swimming pool and cinema) and Cholet (known as the capital of handkerchiefs, this town also offers a variety of leisure activities: water sports centre, textile museum, monuments to the Vendée wars, ice rink, swimming pool, bowling, go-karting, laser game, etc.).

The fireplace is not in use.
Heating and electricity charges are included and end-of-stay cleaning, sheet hire and bathroom linen are optional.

In the village of Saint Georges de Gardes, head towards La Chapelle Rousselin, drive 2.3 km (pass 2 right-angled bends) and at the first crossroads turn left and drive 400m.

Pets are not allowed.
End-of-stay cleaning: 60 euros.
Sheet hire (2-person bed): 10 euros.
Bathroom linen hire: 5 euros.
A deposit of 400 euros is required.
