Bed and breakfast in a renovated former barn. With indoor swimming pool, in the heart of the Marais Poitevin, along the banks of the River Vendée. 7 km from Fontenay-le-Comte, a town of art and history, 35 minutes from La Rochelle, 1 hour from the Puy du Fou.

In the Marais Poitevin, 30 minutes from La Rochelle, we welcome you to an old renovated barn, in rooms classified 3 épis Gites de France, with a large living room and kitchenette, overlooking a wooded enclosed garden. Copious breakfasts served before discovering the rich natural, historical and gastronomic heritage of the southern Vendée.
Two family units upstairs, each with 2 bedrooms and private shower room and toilet. The rooms are spacious.

The first set comprises :
- Chambre "Marais": a very comfortable 25m² double room (160x200 bed) with a baby corner. Lounge area and desk. Delicate touches of "Green Venice". The room overlooks the garden and faces east. Private shower room and bathroom. A children's bedroom could be added.
- Vieilles Chansons Françaises" bedroom. In this children's or companion's bedroom (bed 120x190), warm colours enhance the brightness of the wood and antique furniture. It overlooks the garden and can be combined with either of the double bedrooms, with the person sharing the bathroom. As you drift off to sleep, you'll have no trouble recalling the words of "Meunier, tu dors..." or "Cadet Rousselle...".

The second set consists of :
- Horizon" room: 16m² double room (bed 140x190) with desk area and armchairs. The decoration and tones of the room are a reminder that the ocean and the Ile de Ré are nearby. Facing east and overlooking the garden, it can be used as a children's bedroom. Private bathroom and shower room.
- Au temps jadis": children's bedroom with twin beds. Its pastel tones reflect the gentle pleasures of childhood. The children share the parents' bathroom. It overlooks the garden.

The large living room on the ground floor has a pool table, table football, board games and extensive local literature. The kitchenette has a fridge-freezer, microwave and hob. Crockery and household linen are also available.
Babies are welcome: high chair, cot and baby bath.

For your leisure, we have mountain bikes at your disposal, with cycle paths starting from the house; there is a barbecue for which we provide charcoal free of charge; garden furniture is spread around the property and deckchairs are available around an indoor saltwater swimming pool.

Our gourmet breakfasts feature homemade jams and pastries and local produce.
The garden is fully accessible, offering shady spots for picnics.
There are numerous restaurants in the surrounding area, ranging from crêperies to gourmet restaurants;
7 km from the renaissance town of Fontenay-le-Comte, 15 km from the medieval village of Vouvant and the Mervent Forest, 35 minutes from La Rochelle and the Ile de Ré, 1 hour by motorway from Le Puy du Fou and the Futuroscope.
