LES MOULINS D'ARDENAY
The Moulins d'Ardenay are two 18th-century Moulins Tours in the heart of the Coteaux du Layon. One of them was renovated in 1787, the year it was built.
Set against a picturesque backdrop of the Coteaux du Layon, you'll find two 18th-century Moulins Tours, one of which has been renovated in the 1787 style (the year it was built) and fitted with Canvas Wings. On site, you'll find a "Life of a Miller" area, an exhibition on the Moulins d'Anjou and models showing the development of milling in the 18th century.
Discover the history of the Moulins d'Ardenay, from the origins of the Maitres Cognée, Louis from father to son, over six generations since 1771.
The site is just a stone's throw from La Corniche Angevine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Site des Moulins d'Ardenay, representative of 18th-century mills, is open all year round, when you visit or by appointment on 02 41 78 67 97 or 06 33 11 17 96.
There will be events at the Moulins throughout the 2024 season. See you in the diary!
