As the gateway to Clisson, the Pont Saint-Antoine is a remarkable reminder of the town's history and identity. Built in the 15th century, around 1430, and listed as a Historic Monument on 18 March 1922, this granite bridge spanning the River Moine is probably the successor to an old wooden footbridge.

Its name derives from the Saint-Antoine chapel and almshouse that once stood nearby, founded by a charter from Richard de Bretagne, Count of Étampes and Lord of Clisson, brother of Duke Jean V. For centuries, this structure, unique in Brittany for its design, was an essential passageway on the road linking Clisson to Poitiers.
