CIRCUIT HISTORIQUE ET PATRIMOINE DU PAS DE LA MULE AU VIEIL BAUGE
Discover the inner-city circuit of Vieil-Baugé, classified as a charming village.
In the village, follow the "mule tracks" marked in yellow, which will take you through the picturesque lanes lined with 15th and 16th century houses, to the site of the Battle of 1421, a landmark event in the Hundred Years' War when French troops allied with Scottish troops defeated the English in a crushing defeat. From the lake, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the village and its Tors bell tower. Go back up to the "battle stone" and its legend of Pas de la Mule and the wash-house. The boule de fort societies are also worth a visit, and will be delighted to introduce you to this typical Baugeois game.Practical information
