The construction of the dam is to answer the needs of clean water but also to support the low-water of the Lay and the marshes, as well as the irrigation for the surrounding areas.
The water kept by this dam spreads across 127ha and has 7 300 000m3 of water.
The lake is also an ideal place to fish.
