Observatoire de la Rade d'amour
Follow the interpretation trail in this protected area to discover oyster farming and the biodiversity of the lagoons and the Lay estuary.
At the Pointe d'Arçay, the Rade d'Amour discovery trail takes you through the oyster beds, between sea and river, to discover the activity that has forged the reputation of this area. From the observation platform, admire the flight of the marsh birds, the sweep of the fishermen's boats on the Lay estuary and the pine forest.Every summer, the commune of La Faute-sur-Mer organises free tours led by a "Nature" guide.
Prior registration is required at the Sud Vendée Littoral Tourist Office.
The observatory and trail are open all year round, but dogs are not allowed.
Groups wishing to visit with a guide are welcome on request.
