Nestling mid-valley between ponds and forests, Château du Val de Caratel was built between 1648 and 1653.
The architectural ensemble is simple but exceptional in its homogeneity, shaped by the passage of time. With its many ponds, gardens and woods, the site is a discreet but emblematic feature of the Châteaubriant region.
