FORUM MÉTIERS D'ART : EXPOSITION & BOUTIQUE D'ÉTÉ

The Forum Métiers d'Art in Jublains is a place to discover and promote the arts and crafts.

Throughout the summer, the Forum is hosting a pop-up shop featuring around fifteen craftspeople from Mayenne and the wider West of France.

Every year, new and original creations are on display, allowing visitors to discover one-of-a-kind pieces. Alongside this, a themed exhibition focusing on glass will offer a deeper understanding of this fascinating material. Visitors will be able to discover various techniques: fusing, glassblowing, flame-drawn glass and stained glass, as well as the history of glass and its use in contemporary art. Treat yourself to gifts crafted with passion and expertise!

Every summer, an exhibition also accompanies the shop. This year, the material in the spotlight will be glass, with the exhibition ‘Éclats de verre’. There, you’ll discover five craftswomen, each exploring glass through different techniques: Éléonore, a glassblower; Virginie, a glassblower using a torch; Julia, an engraver and glass artisan; Claire, a stained-glass artist; and Aurélie, who practises the art of fused glass.

Over the course of two months, this exhibition invites you to discover five unique and complementary approaches to working with glass.
