Presentation of: Domaine du Clos de l'Abbaye
The Clos de l'Abbaye estate is located in Puy-notre-Dame between Montreuil-Bellay and Doué-en-Anjou. The owners store their wines in cellars dug into the Xth century tufa stone. The temperature is constant throughout the year (8 to 9°C).
Underground galleries run for ten kilometres or so, where mushrooms used to be cultivated. Discover the Saumur red, remarkably fruity and tasty when young, with fine, discreet tannins that can be cellared for three to ten years, depending on the vintage. Finally, the Saumur brut is a wine made using the traditional method and is very pleasant with its fine bubbles.
