Domaine de l'Enchantoir

Domaine de l'Enchantoir farms its 15 hectares of organic Chenin, Cabernet Franc and Chardonnay vines, which surround the house and buildings built in the 19th century. The wine is produced under the Saumur Puy-Notre-Dame appellation/village.

At Le Puy-Notre-Dame, discover a friendly family team - Jean-Michel, Fabienne, Amandine and Guillaume - who share their love of wine, the land, the troglodyte cellars and the wine storehouses during a visit and tasting, and tell you all about the history of the region, Domaine de l'Enchantoir and the AOC Saumur-Puy-Notre-Dame appellation.

For 1h-1h30, they will explain the work in the vines and then the vinification in the cellar. Take a guided tour of the troglodyte cellar and its oenological trail. Finally, end the tour with a guided tasting of the estate's wines.

The estate covers 15 hectares where Chenin, Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc vines flourish, traditional grape varieties in the Saumur region.
They cultivate their vines in the traditional way to preserve the richness of the terroir.

All their wines are certified Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (A.O.C), certified "organic farming" under the Ecocert label since 2016, and the red wines are recognised with the "Saumur Puy-Notre-Dame" appellation.

The wines are then matured and stored on the estate in the historic courtyard, a listed monument.

From the courtyard, you can access part of the network of troglodytes, the underground tunnels that wind their way through the whole of Puy-Notre-Dame, providing optimal storage and conservation for the estate's wines.
