The Littoral Fautais is a trail certified by the Département and the Fédération Française de randonnée pédestre (French hiking federation).
La Faute-sur-Mer is a sandy peninsula in constant morphological evolution. Bordered on one side by the river Lay and on the other by the ocean for more than 10km, it is no more than 2km wide. Year after year, the peninsula stretches out and the sand piles up on the ocean side.
