Circuit de randonnée : Forêt et architecture
A hilly route, mainly through undergrowth, with panoramic views over the village.
An 8.2 km trail, mainly through undergrowth. At the crossroads of Maine-et-Loire, Indre-et-Loire and Vienne, the village of Fontevraud grew up as an extension of its famous abbey. Founded in the early 12th century, then partly transformed under the Ancien Régime, the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud is one of the largest monastic complexes in Europe still preserved in its original state. It houses the recumbent figures of Eleanor of Aquitaine and Richard the Lionheart.Practical information
