A signposted trail in the form of a horse-riding circuit with rural charm through the small country lanes to the south of the Daumeray countryside.

Starts from the Daumeray sports hall car park, rue de la Liberté.

Join the rue de l'étang and the old wash-house, dating from the 1850s and recently renovated by volunteers from the Association Daumeray d'Histoire en Découverte, behind the village hall.

Take rue Rouget le Braconnier and walk past the La Concorde bowls club. You will arrive in front of the former imperial gendarmerie dating from the 19th century and, just next door, St Martin's Church dating from the 11th century.

At La Demenerie, you can still see the well overgrown with vegetation and the old foundations of Louis Rouget's house. Next, take the little shady path along which Rouget fled from the gendarmes chasing him.

You'll end up in the little village of Saint-Germain, listed as one of the department's picturesque sites and home to residences dating from the 15th to 18th centuries, including the Bellefontaine dwelling and the 11th-century church of Saint-Germain, which belonged to Marmoutier Abbey and is a listed historic monument.
Nothing seems to have changed in this village since the nave of the church was completed before the Revolution.
