Situated between Nantes and Tours, in the town of Montreuil-Bellay, this gîte with Nordic bath and sauna is a real cocoon for 2 people.

Right in the heart of the town, you'll be 250m from the Château de Montreuil-Bellay, a vast medieval structure with 15 defensive towers and 600m of ramparts. Restaurants, bars, cafés and shops make this a lively town. The river Le Thouet flows past below the château, providing a pastoral and natural setting perfect for kayaking, walking or fishing.

The ground floor comprises a 24m² living room with a modern, fully-equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge around a wood-burning stove. A glass roof forms the transition between the house and the garden. This is a bright, comfortable space with a natural feel. The small 100m² garden is planted with fruit trees and shrubs. Also provided: barbecue, garden furniture, 2-seater Nordic bath, shed with 2 bicycles for visiting the surrounding area without taking the car.

In an adjoining building, the former wine storehouse has been converted into a tasting room for local wines (classified Vignobles et Découvertes). For a rejuvenating stay focused on well-being, everything is provided: traditional sauna, Nordic bath and massage service on request in the garden, the wine storehouse or the glass roof. Massage by a professional (€90/hour).

Upstairs, large bedroom (18m²) with double bed (140x190cm) and lounge with armchairs and sofa. Small en-suite shower room with shower, wc and vanity unit.

In winter, this gîte in Montreuil Bellay is just as pleasant, with the wood-burning stove, Nordic bath and sauna in operation all year round.

Located 5 minutes' walk from the station. Doué-La-Fontaine, 15 minutes away, with Troglodytes et Sarcophages, Le Mystère des Faluns, the Cité de la Rose and the Bioparc. The town of Saumur is 20 minutes away, with the Loire River, the Château de Saumur and Le Cadre Noir. The Royal Abbey of Fontevraud is 20 minutes away. Angers, Cholet and Tours are 1 hour away.

All-inclusive service: bathroom linen, bathrobes, end-of-stay cleaning, beds made. Put your bags down and enjoy. Weekend package: arrival on Friday evening and departure on Sunday afternoon.
