Le Clos Montferrand

In the heart of the Layon vineyards, in a green and peaceful setting on the outskirts of Angers, we offer you our house, fully renovated and equipped with all modern comforts.

A house full of character in the heart of the Layon vineyards, Le Clos Montferrand is the ideal place for a family get-together or a get-together with friends! With nearly a hectare of walled parkland featuring trees over a hundred years old, young and old alike will enjoy the sunny days. Perfectly situated to the south of Angers, a stay in this gîte will be an opportunity to discover the many sites in the area: Angers and its architectural and cultural treasures (Château des Ducs d'Anjou and the Apocalypse tapestries, Cathédrale Saint-Maurice and the David d'Angers gallery) just 20 minutes away. The town of Saumur, its château on the banks of the Loire and the Cadre Noir are just 40 minutes away. A host of fine appellations also await wine lovers: Savennières, Anjou reds and whites, Coteaux du Layon... To be enjoyed in moderation in the many vineyards open to the public! The banks of the Loire, its cycle route and the many riverside guinguettes are just a 10-minute drive away.

On the ground floor, the gîte has a fully-equipped kitchen, a bright dining room and a living room with flat-screen TV. There is no toilet on the ground floor.

There are 4 bedrooms on the first floor: 1 bedroom with a 160 cm x 200 cm bed, 2 bedrooms with a 140 cm x 190 cm bed each, and 1 bedroom with 2 90 cm x 190 cm beds. A bathroom with walk-in shower and bath and separate WC are also available.

The second floor has 3 additional bedrooms: 2 bedrooms each with a 140 cm X 190 cm bed and 1 bedroom with a 160 cm X 200 cm bed and a 90 cm X 190 cm bed. A second bathroom with walk-in shower and bath and separate WC complete this floor.

Outside, there are plenty of facilities to make the most of the spring and summer days: garden furniture, a lounge, a barbecue and a swing to keep you entertained.
The size of the grounds requires constant maintenance and means that the gardener has to visit regularly, sometimes when the gîte is occupied, so that you can enjoy the outdoors to the full.

Included in the rental price: electricity, gas heating and Wi-Fi internet connection (fibre).
