Beaulieu-sur-Oudon, a charming village full of character, is famous for its grotto of Notre-Dame de la Pitié, its wash-house used until the early 1980s, the harvest museum and its traditional festival held every first Sunday in August.
For your leisure activities, there are a number of not-to-be-missed sites nearby: the Robert Tatin museum (13 km) - the old town of Vitré (25 km) - Laval (25 km) with its many activities: Christmas lights, museums, château, and the Perrine garden - Le Refuge de l'Arche, in Château-Gontier (34 km).
The Mayenne is also renowned for its towpaths, greenways, hiking trails and many small towns of character.
When it comes to local produce, the countryside is full of producers who will open their doors to you. You'll find products made from milk (cheeses), meat (charcuterie), wool (mohair, llama, etc.), cereals (artisan bread) and, of course, fresh vegetables.
