This restored 18th-century house has retained its rural character. Gîte La Touche sleeps 7 and is ideal for a stay with family or friends. It is located in Distré, just 10 minutes from the historic centre of Saumur.

Need to recharge your batteries with family or friends? The gîte La Touche is the perfect place! Located in the commune of Distré, this restored 18th-century house is set in a small, quiet, typical hamlet.

Covering an area of 120m², the ground floor comprises a kitchen/dining room, a sitting room with fireplace and a first bedroom with 2 single beds, en-suite shower room and separate toilet. Upstairs you'll find a second bedroom with a double bed (160x200) and a third with two beds (one double (140x190) and one single (90x190)). There is also a bathroom with bath and shower, and wc.

This gîte has an enclosed garden with a lawn area and a covered shed. A barbecue and children's games are available. The gîte is non-smoking and has gas central heating.

Electricity (over 8 kwh), gas heating (€100.00/week) and tourist tax are extra.
The Saumur region, renowned for its vineyards, is also the capital of horse-riding. Come and spend a unique moment with the horses of the Cadre Noir, the National Riding School, and attend one of the many Gala performances of the Cadre Noir, where the elegance, prowess and complicity between the rider and his horse will give young and old alike an unforgettable experience.

Take a short diversions to Rou-Marson, 5 minutes from the gîte, to sample fouées, also known as fouaces. This little ball of oven-baked bread is served while still warm and filled with rillettes, mushrooms, cheeses, mogettes, jams, etc. as you wish. Visit one of the region's troglodyte restaurants to sample this local speciality and spend some convivial time with family and friends. And don't forget Fontevraud Abbey, just 15 minutes from the gîte.
